ABOUT BRANDON LEE
From very early on, Brandon Lee Waugh’s path seemed predestined towards becoming a professional athlete. Growing up in Nashville with three older brothers only helped to foster his competitive nature and drive to succeed. A star wrestler in high school, he received hundreds of medals for his athleticism including 1st place medals for both regional and national wrestling competitions. Well on his way towards a scholarship in college wrestling, 17-year-old Brandon Lee, was unexpectedly set back by an accident, causing severe brain injury. It was this catalyst that set him on a journey towards his true calling: Music.
Brandon spent many months in a dark room rehabilitating with speech and physical therapy, limited to only listening to the radio. In the midst of barely understanding his surroundings and not even knowing his own mother’s name, he began to memorize lyrics to the songs he heard. It appeared his life had been predestined, just not in the way anyone had guessed.
After a full physical recovery, Brandon worked through the emotional trauma by writing about his experience. His first song, entitled “Saved by Country Music,” was all about his newfound path in life and how with both God and music, he was able to get past all of his hardships. He soon entered CMA sponsored contest, The Nashville Talent Showdown, and took 1st place at the Kentucky regionals. From there, his journey into music really began.
On stage, Brandon Lee captivates his audiences with his smooth country tone and genuine positivity. He has always been inspired by God and uses his music to inspire others to never give up hope. His first album, set to release in 2021, was recorded by Grammy Nominated Producer, Kent Wells, and focuses on the journeys we take in life and how God always has a perfect plan for us before we even know it.
